  • Former Chief of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at MacDill Air Force Base Military Hospital.
  • In private practice since 2003, with thousands of patients successfully treated.
  • Founder and Medical Director of Ayala Medical Center, a clinic specializing in internal medicine and comprehensive care for patients ages 16 to 104.

The Mission Behind My Doctor on Call (MDOC)

Why MyDoctorOnCall (MDOC) Was Created

After 36 years of caring for patients and building relationships based on trust and friendship, I realized that, far too often, the healthcare system had created a barrier between the doctor and the patient. This barrier was due to a lack of time, administrative pressure, imposed restrictions, or simply the absence of genuine listening and understanding.

Over the years, I witnessed how the system became increasingly aggressive and impersonal, especially in consumer-driven, highly litigious societies. In hospitals, emergency rooms, medical offices, and even dental clinics, the same attitude kept surfacing: "If the patient has insurance, maximize the billing." I even heard colleagues say, "Never leave money on the table," or "Don't waste time with uninsured patients or those with private insurance; just take this other group."

For years, I tried to fight that reality, hoping things would change. Instead, I observed a steady decline in the quality of care, accompanied by a growing disconnect between patients and their physicians. That is why I made the decision to step away from the system. Today, I choose to practice medicine freely, honestly, and without outside interference—where my only loyalty is to my patients and to science, not to insurers, administrators, or profit-driven agendas.

As I often say:
I would rather stand with Him and be judged by men than stand with men and be judged by Him.

The Mission of MyDoctorOnCall (MDOC)

My mission with MyDoctorOnCall is to provide care that is:

  • Transparent and honest, with no hidden agendas or third-party pressures.
  • Scientific and evidence-based, backed by over three decades of clinical expertise.
  • Accessible, because good medicine does not have to be expensive.

I want to continue doing what I have always done: educating to prevent disease, diagnosing conditions early, treating effectively when possible, and maintaining strict control over chronic illnesses that can seriously impact quality of life.
